What Is The Obligation When You Win The World Travel Award For Excellence In Travel?

Dear Reader and Friend

The other day on my flight to Guadalajara I read an article about “Mexicana”: The Best Airline in Mexico and Central America.”

And further on it stats, “Recognition is among the best types of feed back that people and organizations can receive – and it is even better when experts are the ones noting the effort and passion that goes into our work.”

Let me ask you a question, “Wasn’t the world travel awards” created to recognize and celebrate excellence in travel.

I sometimes get confused about the word “excellence.”

What means excellence?

Is this word misleading in Latin America or are the patterns for excellence different than in any other part of the world. Or maybe people are not aware what excellence in travel means. Doesn’t mean to be “excellent” improving yourself constantly in your organization or business? Is apologizing to people not part of being excellent or is that a strange word for organizations in Latin America. Has a human creature no value – is a human creature part of a package, without value.

Why don’t experts use more often the travel service provided from award winning organization? Why can’t an organization and it doesn’t matter how big it is apologize and explain to their customers what happened? Is the word apologizing so difficult to pronounce?

Is the system so complicated to manage or are the people (employees) are insufficiently trained? It is ridiculous how sometimes excuses are made only to say something. You know it seems to me that the people open only their mouth to say something and to see if the listener is satisfied but on the other hand they get upset if you ask them something different they have no reply for it.

This day there have been cancelled two flights, first explanation – “fork” in Guadalajara. Why isn’t it possible to say it in the first time, why do you have to investigate what happened? Secondly they tell you the system failed because we where waiting almost an hour in the plane to take off.

You know it is easy to say the system failed. But as everybody knows a system doesn’t fail unless you have a power failure. A system only fails when it is managed incorrectly - that means human failure.

Isn’t it human to offer something to your customers after waiting 3 to 4 hours in the airport or is it normal to leave them all on their own. I understand that people are treated unfair in Latin countries mostly from all big organizations. But is that a reason to be quiet?

Is the problem in those countries lack of competence or is it just from the CEOs and managers because you have to use the service anyhow because you don’t have much Joyce because there are not many companies to choose from either.

In my opinion we should be more selective when giving our votes for awards. And the fact alone that you win a price doesn’t mean that one can rest on one’s laurels no, it means that you have to work harder to improve yourself as a company. We are human beings and make all mistakes but is that a reason to treat others inhuman?

In today’s economic situation every entrepreneur cares about his customers and treats them well, because he knows that he will loose them otherwise. Isn’t that a good reason to start with?
Respect and care your customers the way you like to be respected and cared.

To get the merit of the world travel awards for excellence in travel…a lot has to be done.

I like the slogan of the Hampton Inn Hotels, “if you are not 100% satisfied we don’t expect you to pay.”

Dear Friend, I never had to test it for real because I had never to complain – but I tell you this is excellence in travel.

Regards,

Anton

P.S. Maybe you can help me in getting my doubts off of my mind. I really appreciated your comment.

What Is The Best Historical Destination For A Mexico Vacation?

When you are talking about history and Mexico there are a few locations that come to mind. One of them that really stand out is the area of the Yucatan peninsula that includes the area once dominated by the Mayan people. In this peninsula you can still find incredible evidence of their advanced civilization. Just a short drive from the tourist regions of Cancun and Cozumel are examples to be found of the height of Mayan architecture and civilization.

Many travel agencies can set you up with tours that will let you enjoy and explore several archeological sites and still put aside time to lounge on a beach to soak in the sun. If you want to combine an educational experience and a relaxing vacation this is the place where you can do it. Spend a few days traveling to several of the most well known ruins as Chichen Itza and Uxmal and then kick back with some typical water activities.

One of the most famous Mayan ruins are Chichen Itza, which is close to Merida, the capital of Yucatan. It is estimated Chichen Itza was established in 432 AD and is one of the finest examples of Mayan architecture ever excavated. Chichen Itza, the most famous Maya temple city served as the political and economic center of the Mayan civilization. This pyramid was without any doubt the greatest of the Mayan temples. Chichen Itza was selected as one of the 7 new wonders of the world. You can climb the pyramid known as "El Castillo" and learn how it is set up to have significance in how the Mayans viewed astronomy. There is also the largest ball court in Mesoamerica located here, which hosted games where the losers may have been ritually sacrificed. The blend of science, religion, and architecture in the city can be very impressive.

Another more recently found site is at Palenque, in which in 1952 the mummified remains of Lord Pakal, a ruler during the sixth century, were found in a large sarcophagus. There are many exquisite examples of Mayan architecture located here, such as comb-like decorations on the roofs of the temples and intricately carved wall panels. There are over 200 buildings at this site, which are probably more than enough to keep you exploring most of the day.

A visit to Tulum can provide some seaside ruins to explore for a half a day or so, but it also gives you the opportunity to snorkel and check out some of the underwater caves that are near there. After that it is a short trip to either Cancun or Isla de Mujeres for some rest and relaxation so you can reflect on all the history you absorbed. And the margaritas are good there, too.

Just south of Tulum you will find Sian Ka'an, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ecological reserve has a lion's share of natural beauty, but it also highlights 23 archeological sites of Mayan civilization and contains an ancient trade route that serviced the cities of Tulum and Muyil during the Mayan era.

The entire Yucatan peninsula is chock full of the history and architecture of the Mayan civilization and it gives us a glimpse of what life was like in the prehistory of European colonization of the Americas. If your idea of a great vacation to Mexico is to learn about its history and heritage, then this is the number one place to go. There is no other place where you can learn about history and heritage of the Mexican people and enjoy a relaxing and rechargeable vacation. And the best you have no weather problems. You don't have to fear a bad weather vacation. So, enjoy your next Mexico vacation at the best historical destination.

Regards,

Anton

Why Vacation In Mexico City?

There aren't many cities in the entire world that are larger than Mexico City. The City is situated in the valley of Mexico and with over 19 million people it is the second largest metropolitan area in the western hemisphere. It is located on top of a high plateau at about 7,349 feet (2,240m) above sea level. The place where the city rests was once Lake Texcoco. It seems to be a city of extremes and a dynamic place to visit. You don't find anywhere else a city with all the contrasts that has Mexico City. I can imagine every human flying the first time over Mexico City is impressed of the size of that huge City.

Besides all the problems Mexico City has most vacationers to Mexico City are fascinated with the history of the city itself and of the circumstances in which the city was born. The Aztecs founded Mexico City in the year 1325 on a small island in the middle of Lake Texcoco. In order for it to continue to grow, the small island had to be enlarged artificially. The city came under siege by the Spaniards 200 years later and was almost completely destroyed. The Spaniards then rebuilt the city according to their designs, which is mostly what you see today in the old section of the town.

There are many tours that can be taken in which the history, architecture, and culture of the city are highlighted. There are Aztec ruins to behold. Chapultepec Castle where the Halls of Montezuma of Marine Corps lore are located, and even an iconic landmark the Angel of Independence, which was modeled after the Champs-Elysees by Emperor Maximilian of Mexico.

Another popular tourist activity to pursue in Mexico City is to visit several of the over 150 museums. They range in scope from anthropological to modern art and while they vary in price, they are all reasonably affordable. The Museo Nacional de Antropologia has an extensive collection of ancient artifacts and is on of the finest and largest anthropological museums in the world. The Museo Nacional de Arte has exhibits that mostly feature Mexican artists. And the Museo Nacional de Historia recounts the history of Mexico and Mexico City inside the walls of the famed Chapultepec Castle.

The City has almost for every taste interest something to offer. Recently you can travel by sightseeing buses through the city and enjoy everything from the top. With the bus tours you can stay where ever you like and jump later on to finish the tour. There are lots of bus stops where you can walk and enjoy the beauty of this extraordinary city.

There are also many different types of sporting events that can be attended in and around Mexico City. Football or soccer as it is called in the United States is the most popular sport with stadiums that can seat over 105,000 fans. Mexico City is home to 4 major professional teams and countless youth teams. The next most popular sport to attend in Mexico City is baseball. Their team is the Red Devils and you will find a very exuberant group of spectators at all of their games.

Being the largest city in Mexico, Mexico City has the most active nightlife scene in all Mexican cities. There are almost endless choices of music and dance clubs available from Mariachi music and Flamenco to jazz and salsa clubs. Most venues don't begin the party until 10 PM or so and participants dance away until the wee hours of the morning.

It doesn't matter what your interests are -- history and culture of Mexico or you just want to kick up your heels all night long. Mexico City can provide the kind of dynamic vacation experience that no other city can. And I think over twenty million people can't be wrong.

Regards,

Anton

Anton Enjoys Travel - A Few Important Tips when Starting Your Vacation or When travel by plane

Its travel season and we have everything ready for our vacation and we are anxious to start our trip to our well earned vacation. If you have your travel destination outside your country, or if you travel by car, or if you just want a getaway over the weekend, these tips can save you sometimes a lot of trouble or time.

Some tips are for fliers and some are for travelers in general. So, don't worries you can use them and please write them down for any emergency you might have in the near future.

Remember it's always good to have some phone-numbers especially from airlines you are flying with.

When using credit cards have at least the most important phone-numbers from your credit institution (lost and stolen), it can safe you a lot of trouble.

The same is valid for Rental cars, when using rental cars it is of utmost importance that you write down the phone number of your rental company. In case that the papers get stolen at least you can call up the company and tell them about the misfortune and what you should do in such a case.

When flying to destination outside your country or for national flights the information above will be of great value to you.

......Be Aware of Your Surroundings

The next time you are in an airport or on an aircraft, take notice of your surroundings, especially of activities or situations that do not appear to be normal.

......Report Unusual Activity

If you see anything in the airport, or on an aircraft that looks out of place or otherwise inappropriate, such as unusual behavior or potential security violations, inform either a law enforcement representative or someone in authority at the particular airport.

......Make No Assumptions About Who May Pose a Threat

If someone is intent on perpetrating violent acts against the air transport system, that person can be of any age, gender, or nationality. You should not assume that any particular type of person is likely to do harm simply because of outward appearances.

......Stay Away from Suspicious Circumstances

In case you encounter a potential hazard in the airport, move away from the situation before contacting someone of the authority. If necessary, warn others in the vicinity. Examples of potential hazards include unaccompanied packages, suspicious behavior of passengers, or any unusual movement.

......Keep Your Seat Belt Fastened While You are Seated

Keeping the belt on when you are seated provides that extra protection you might need if the plane hits unexpected turbulence of if the aircraft is put through unusual maneuvers.

......Listen to the Flight Attendants

The primary reason flight attendants are on an aircraft is for safety, so if there is any kind of emergency or potential emergency situation, look to the flight attendants for guidance.

......Become Familiar with Your Aircraft If You Are Not A
Frequent Flyer

When you are first seated, review the written safety instructions, count the number of rows to the nearest exits and check to see if there are seat-back telephones available.

......Remember the Basic Rules for Wireless Devices And Cell
Phones

Cell phones, pagers, and other wireless communications devices may be used until the passenger entry doors are closed prior to takeoff.

Do not use these devices for routine communications until the passenger doors are opened at the end of the flight.

These regulations vary from airline to airline; American airlines allow you to use your cell-phone before they are at the terminal and before they are open the doors;

Mexican airlines do not allow the use of the cell-phone before they open the door of the airplane;
The Rules vary around the world from country to country and from airline to airline;
In order to avoid you problems just listen to the announcement in the plane they'll tell you when you can use the cell-phone or other devices.

......Have always a Plan for the Emergency Use of a Wireless
Equipment or Phone

In the event of an in-flight emergency, you should take stock of the situation before using any communications device, including the aircraft's seat-back telephones.

If the situation demands it, use your cell phone or other personal wireless device to contact someone who can help. Have always important phone numbers available before you travel because you never know when you need them.

......Work As A Group

Every situation on the aircraft with the potential for danger, do not act by your own it is usually better to share information with crew members and the other passengers and to work together.
Never try to be a hero;

Individual action, either during a normal emergency or other unforeseen threat to the aircraft, is less effective than a coordinated group action.

Romantic-Travel Or How To Regain Your Partner's Love?

If you are considering a run-away for a few days...or you like a week-getaway...

Sacramento is a great city for couples to visit, especially those who are more interested in the history of the area, but there are activities for those who may not be into going to museums and historical places.

If you find for your romantic travel the beach and the beautiful and colored sunset a place to be than you should go to the Caribbean or Mexican beach. You can lounge the whole day under the sun and at night you can visit a nice romantic restaurant and have dinner with candle light.

At this hour of the night you still have energy which you refilled after a lazy and relaxing day you can go to the Disco for a few hours dance.

The next day you can book a sight-seeing tour and get in contact with the native people and at noon you might have a lunch at the beach outside of town. At these places you can have the best prepared fresh fish they have caught a few hours before and I tell you this is an experience you always remember.

When you make a romantic travel it is of great importance to make a list of all the dreams you both have and how you want to share them together. In that case, you must make a conscious effort to share more good times and fulfill your dreams with your partner and your travel will be of a great success.

When traveling with your partner how you do know which senses you should focus on?

If they work to create the kind of romance your partner appreciates, then I believe you have what it takes to increase the power of your sixth sense, far beyond touch, taste, sight, smell and sound.

Getting away from all the hustle and bustle and finding the time to spend with your loved one is a great way to rekindle the romance between you and your partner.

You should always remember while planning a romantic getaway together, you and your partner should be prepared to make some concessions to the other person's likes and dislikes.

A romantic travel can be to get over some difficulties or misunderstandings you might have had with your partner during the last few weeks or days...

You wish that the escape will serve for your spiritual growth and that beautiful things com to fruition.

You just like to relax and having fun with your partner

Or your love life needs a quick boost

What ever the reasons are do it in the way to maintain or regain the romantic relationship you enjoy with your partner.

In today's society with all the hustle and bustle in our daily life more and more people loose this romantic touch after living months with their partners together.

I ask you are it worth living without a romantic relationship, having day out and day in problems which gives you only more stress and insurmountable obstacles.

I know it from my own experience and the amount of work one have you forget easy this romantic touch and that being close together because one walks on a path without feeling that the partner is falling way behind and suddenly you can't see him anymore.

You are trapped in so much other stuff that you slowly forget certain habits. In that moment you should start to do something about it before the distance between you and your partner is too big.

Think about it and tell me what your opinion is...

Regards

Anton

P.S. Always remember don't let grow the distance between you and your partner to big

Travel To Singapore

History of Singapore

The first time Singapore was mentioned was a 3rd century Chinese account in which Singapore was described as "Pu-luo-chung" which means the island at the end of a peninsula. But there is little known about the history of Singapore.

In the 14th century, was part of an empire and known as Temasek which means seatown. Singapore is located at the tip of the Malay Peninsula and therefore an important meeting point for sea craft, Chinese junks and Indian vessels.

Singapore's official history dates from the 11th century, but the island was little known to the West until the 19th century, when in 1819, Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles arrived as an agent of the British East India Company. In 1824, the British purchased Singapore Island and a year later Singapore has become a major port with trade exceeding all the surrounding countries together. Over the years it became more and more prosperous. Through the demand of rubber from Southeast Asia which was used for the packaging industry's needs for tin helped Singapore to become one of the world's major ports.
From 1959 to 1965 Singapore was a self-government and in 1965 it became an independent republic.

Demographics of Singapore

Singapore is an own State and has a population of about 5 million. Singapore is one of the most populated independent countries in the world. Singapore is a multiracial country with a majority population of Chinese, with a substantial Malay population and Indian minorities. In this small country are living in peaceful harmony Mahayana Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and no religion at all. It is surprising how many religions can leave together in a small country without having
major problems.

The country has four official languages, whereas Malay is the national language and English is the working or business language.

Where to Go in Singapore

Singapore is for travelers an exciting place to go. You still can buy cheap electronic products, clothing and many other things. There are so many places to visit that you need actually a few vacations to see them all. If you are an animal lover you can visit the Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom, Jurong Bird Park or you can go on a Night Safari, you have the Singapore Zoo and the Underwater World.

You can take a look to Little India with his strong smell of spices and jasmine garlands, and the treasure of silverware, brass ware, and the colorful silk saris. You better travel to Singapore with an empty suitcase otherwise you have to buy to get all the stuff in you'll buy.

Chinatown is worthwhile to visit. It goes back to 1821 when the first Chinese arrived to Singapore. Chinatown is located around the Singapore River.

Geylang Serai is the cultural heart of the Malay community in Singapore. In this village you will go back in time and watch the traditional lifestyle of the Malay community in the 1950s to 1960s.

Or you can walk through all the museums that Singapore offers to the visitors like the Army Museum of Singapore, Art Retreat Museum (founded by Indonesian collector which is the first private museum with modern Asian and European art). The Asian Civilizations Museum (focuses on the heritage of Asian cultures), or you can walk through the Changi Chapel Museum (the inspiration of hope for the hopeless),
Or you can go to the Chinatown Heritage Center. You see there are such a variety of places to go to that you can spend weeks in this beautiful town.

Singapore has an excellent cuisine you'll just love. If you like exotic food you are at the right place. You better look for a good hotel with fitness facilities that you won't come back with a few kilos overweight.
Through the variety of cultural groups you have such a great selection of food that you just will love it to try the different taste and smell of exotic food. So, let’s finish for today and talk later on about this beautiful, exotic and colorful town called Singapore. If you plan travel to Singapore get to your nearest travel agency and look up for a great package for an unforgettable Singapore holidays. Have a nice trip.

What To Be Aware Of If You Drive While Vacationing In Mexico

Driving your own vehicle through Mexico or renting one to drive while on vacation is not as problematic as they tell you. And driving your own car or rental car provides a wonderful, go-at-your-own-pace type of experience. It gives you a sense of freedom. But there are several things about traveling in Mexico you should know about. Knowing theses tips can avoid you a lot of trouble in Mexico.

When driving in Mexico with your own car or rental car is very important to have you own insurance. First of all insurance in Mexico in no obligation. So everyone who drives in Mexico should have his or her own insurance to avoid major problems or expenses. An accident, even if you are not at fault, will not be just an inconvenience, but could affect the rest of your vacation. There are many companies who exclude coverage in foreign country and a policy supplied by your insurance company may not be valid in Mexico. Just be careful of the insurance vendors on both sides of the border, because they sell you insurance that don’t cover all the expenses.

You should have insurance that covers also lawyer costs etc. because you never know in what problems you can be involved in your travel. It is always better to investigate in your own country what coverage you have with your own insurance. Sometimes it is much cheaper to have a complimentary for your insurance that includes coverage in a foreign country. That will cost you most of the times less many then have a new insurance somewhere else. And most importantly you will start your travel more secure from the beginning.

In case you drive your own vehicle across the border you will need to be aware of regulations regarding bringing more than $300 of merchandise into the country. What the border guards are looking for are items that could be easily sold in the country. You can avoid most trouble if you take the tags off of new clothing, anything in a box should be opened and taken out and the packaging discarded, and don't have any new supplies in shopping bags. Distribute anything new among your baggage and you should be fine.

Driving on the highway systems will probably remind you of many roads back home as they are, for the most part, modern and well signed. Most of the roads are toll roads, because, in Mexico, tolls pay to keep the roads maintained instead of taxes. It is always good to have a lot of cash for this "pay as you go" system. But the cost of tolls is definitely worth it because the highway roads are much better than the pothole ridden two lane roads you would have otherwise used.

It is also advisable to avoid driving at night in Mexico because of the bad lightning system on the highways or federal streets. Many of the smaller two-lane roads will have livestock issues that could be dangerous and most assaults that would happen on the roads would certainly happen at night. Be also aware that most tourist deaths that happen in Mexico involve automobile accidents. Be also aware that the signs are not always accepted by every automobile driver so even if you have preference always keep looking everywhere before crossing some intersection.

That means that is better to practice defensive driving while in Mexico. Mexican drivers, especially truck drivers and bus drivers are very polite and will let you pull out or pass them. But other drivers, especially in the cities can be aggressive. You don't want to get into an accident if you can avoid it because, if an accident causes an injury, all cars will be impounded until the situation can have a complete accounting. This could turn into quite an ordeal, even if you are innocent in the matter.

Make sure that you obtain insurance that will protect you while driving in Mexico. Try to stay on the main toll roads and avoid rural areas where livestock might be a dangerous hindrance. Avoid driving at night whenever possible for safe driving and for security from possible assaults. Don't forget practice always defense driving at all times. All these tips will help make your vacation safer and easier while on vacation in Mexico.

Get Back To Nature In Mexico: Explore Sian Ka'an Biosphere

There are 27 United Nations World Heritage sites in Mexico and only three of them made the list primarily for their natural significance, as opposed to historical. The most beautiful and diverse is Sian Ka'an Biosphere, a 1.3 million acre ecological park filled with lagoons, forests, marine habitats, and wetlands. It is the largest marine protected area in Mexico and offers one of the few natural treasures of the Yucatan peninsula that is accessible to tourists.

Added to the UNESCO list in 1987, Sian Ka'an translates as "Origin of the Sky". It provides a habitat for a diverse population of flora and fauna, as well as over 300 species of birds. There is a small ecotourism and education center there that serves as a model for sustainable development in sensitive tropical ecosystems. The center is funded by the various tours, fishing, accommodation on-site, and various other activities offered there. Some of the ecologically responsible techniques the center uses are rainwater collection, using wind and solar power, and employing systems for wetland waste management. It also provides educational outreach and biological research opportunities.

Accommodations at Sian Ka'an consist of tents that are raised off the ground to allow ecological and hydrological processes to continue. They have gorgeous views from private patios, as well as plenty of shade and cooling breezes. Bathrooms are shared, but they are always clean and also have stunning views over the water. The dining areas and kitchens are designed to maximize comfort while minimizing impact on the surrounding environment. The menu for the restaurant is wide and varied, but the best choice would be the fresh seafood dishes that are offered.

Activities in the park include fishing excursions, kayaking, or taking one of several tours that will highlight the canals and the Mayan ruins, abundant flora and fauna, and the history of the reserve. There is also a sunset tour that centers on bird watching where you will float along in an open-air boat through beautiful lagoons while viewing birds, plants, and diverse ecosystems. The tour then culminates in watching the sunset over the mangrove forest and lagoon.

The kayaking tours are designed to give visitors a more intimate access to the natural splendor of the park. Single or double kayaks are available and expert guides, who speak both English and Spanish, can accompany you through the reserve to bird watch and explore the wetlands. Free basic training is provided if you have never kayaked before. If you would like to explore alone, the guides can give you directions and information on where to go to use ancient trading routes through the park used by the Mayans. This is an excellent option for experienced kayakers, but an additional fee can give someone basic training to undertake this more advanced tour.

Sian Ka'an is a beautiful ecosystem to visit and learn about history, ecology, and sustainable technology that will open your mind to possibilities you may never have otherwise known about. At the very least it will give you an appreciation of conservation and natural beauty that should stay with you forever.

Talk to you soon

Planning A Great Golf Vacation To Mexico

If you are a passionate golf player and planning a golf vacation to Mexico you definitely are alone. Mexico is the world's number two golf destination for U.S. golfers. And without any doubt Mexico is planning on taking the number one place away from Hawaii as soon as it can. And at the rate they are going it probably might take too long before they realize that goal. The country is different geographically and there are gorgeous courses located all over Mexico.

The best travel time to Mexico might be before or after the rainy season, which is from June through September. Nonetheless, most of the courses you'll find are well made and will drain quite well.

Therefore the rainy season isn't that much a problem at all. And since it usually rains in the afternoon or night you can avoid the heavy shower by booking morning tee times. The mornings are the best time to golf in Mexico anyway because of the heat. Furthermore, if you travel during the low season you can save hundreds in lower hotel rates and greens fees.

One of the next decisions will probably be selecting where you want to spend your golf vacation. You can find a wide range of golf courses across the nation, although you might find it difficult to golf in Mexico City. The courses in Mexico City are all private and belong to Clubs and almost impossible to book playing time unless you are a member. But other resort areas will have several choices of links and you can make the decision to whatever other activities or ambiances you like to discover especially if you are not traveling alone.

You have too many places to choose from like Cancun, Cozumel, Cabo San Lucas, or Acapulco that are popular places known to golfer insiders. These are also places and homes to several championship style courses. Or you might prefer a laid-back beach front like Puerto Vallarta or Mazatlan. You have a variety of choices to choose from and you will enjoy like never before your golf vacation.

Or maybe you might consider a golf vacation with a specialized travel company that arrange for an escorted tour of outstanding courses that would include your lodging as well as other side tours that center on the history and culture of Mexico. The advantage of these tours is that they can be designed especially with your desires in mind and can offer you like two vacations in one.

And if you are accompanied with a partner who is not that passionate about golf he or she might be grateful for your consideration. You can for example golf in the morning, dine in the jungle for lunch, and then take a tour of a tequila factory. With a one day's itinerary like this you filled in space and time. There are so many things you can do and make your golf vacations one of your best experiences.

Be prepared that many golf courses in Mexico will have caddies instead of golf carts. But you are going on vacation so you will make exercises anyway and what can be a better exercise then walking a whole golf course.

Just think it this way you will help to keep the environment clean. Anyway this makes most rounds of golf there more enjoyable because the caddies will have local knowledge of what hazards lay ahead out of sight, or what the wind usually does on certain holes, and all sorts of valued information that can keep you from making a big score. Just be aware that the caddy will charge you a certain amount and naturally expect an appropriate tip.

For people who enjoy golf, travel to exotic lands with championship style golf courses always represent the ultimate get away. Mexico, with all of its myriad resort areas and complement of all different types of golf experiences can be the place you are looking for.

Mexico can provide you a great golf vacation without any doubt. And with comparable prices to a golf trip to Hawaii, traveling to Mexico for your next golf vacation can give you an affordable good time. And if you enjoy good tequila it is more pleasantly in Mexico anyway.

Talk to you soon

Good Rental Tips For Your Mexico Vacation

If you are a frequent traveler and have rented a car in Chicago or Los Angeles or anywhere in the United States, you will easily understand that headaches and hassles is sometimes a commonplace with such a transaction.
when renting a car in another country, such as Mexico, might frighten somebody. Nonetheless, avoiding car rental problems while vacationing in Mexico can be quite easy as long as you take several things in account.

First of all rent from an international car rental agency instead of relying on a local agency. The internacional agency work better regarding customer service and availability aspects. Normally local agencies do not have the incentive to treat tourists well because they will probably never have the opportunity to use their service again in the future and sometimes do not have as much choice in car models. Also with large international agencies you can set up your rental online or over the phone beforehand. Make sure to print a copy of the document that shows the name of the company, the branch and model of the vehicle, and the price that you were quoted (in dollars and pesos). If there is any discrepancy in price or type of vehicle this should settle any arguments.

When renting a car in Mexico the rental agency will want you to have a credit card. They will need to run the credit card twice, once for the rental and once as a precautionary measure for any damages that may occur to the vehicle while it is in your possession. Once you return the car and an inspection shows it is in it's previous condition you should make sure to get the second blank charge slip returned or destroyed in your presence. If all you have is a debit card you will probably be charged a deposit, but ther is a chance that such a transaction will limit your withdrawal capability on that card.

Do not accept a vehicle from a rental office that is not in optimum condition. It won't pay to take chances with a vehicle that may break down on a desolate part of highway. In any case, rental services in Mexico offer the same services as they do in the U.S. such as roadside assistance and extra insurance for an additional fee. It is always advisable to take the extra insurance when renting in Mexico especially when you are not very familiar with the language.

On nearly every highway there are green cars driving during the day for any technical assistance. It is always better to wait for that green cars to show up and never accept assistance from people or mecanics in their private car. This help can turn out to be very expensive and sometimes they do not solve your problem. But the green cars they are specially trained for tecnical assistance and they tow you to the next toll station in case they cannot repair your car.

Despite the common belief that renting a car in Mexico is very adventurous because of the traffic problems and the traffic density but when you are outside town it can be relaxing and liberating to explore Mexico at your own pace. It is relatively trouble-free and enjoyable as long as you know the best ways to avoid car rental nightmares. Rent from a known international company insteaed of local company because a known brand will provide the best service and least hassles. Protect yourself by being aware of what you are charged and how payments for services are remitted. And maek sure you take the time to inspect your vehicle that you won't have problems when returning it to the agency. Make also sure that the vehicle is reasonably clean and in excellent condition. When following these tips your car rental in your Mexico vacation will avoid nightmares and gives you the pleasure of exploring the country the way you like most.

What Are Some Good Health Tips For Vacationing In Mexico

There are some important tips you should follow when traveling abroad. First of all no one should travel to Mexico or any place outside his home country with a cold or flu. Getting sick and missing work or school can be very inconvenient. But when you are on vacation, the last thing in the world you want or expect is to contract some sort of illness. When traveling for a vacation in Mexico, you should keep in mind these rules and tips that will help to keep you healthy.

It is also important before you leave for your vacation in Mexico be sure to hydrate yourself by drinking lots of fluids. Once you arrive at your destination be sure to drink only distilled or bottled water. Climate and altitude changes can have an effect on your body. Take in account that when you arrive in Mexico City you will get off the airplane at about 2400m above sea level. Therefore it is necessary to give your body time to acclimatize to its new environment and don't go overboard your first day in Mexico. Eat sparingly the first day and only what your body is fairly familiar with. Make sure that any fruits or vegetables that you purchase get washed in distilled or bottled water and peel them if possible.

Remember washing your hands often can also keep you remain healthy. Taking along some antibacterial soap would be a wise idea. To go along with that you should have a small first aid kit that would include several different sizes of band-aids, antibacterial ointment, alcohol swabs, and any over the counter pain medication you might need. It is advisable to check with your physician before you leave the country to see if there are any preventative region. This is an important step to take especially if you are over 65 years of age, have an acute or chronic illness, or are pregnant. And any prescription medications you have should be kept in their original bottles with legible labeling that will prevent any misunderstandings. Don't take the medication in your hand back because you might have problems with security check on the airport when leaving your country. Try to pack it in your heavy suitcases.

Try to avoid over-indulgences of alcohol while in Mexico, as this will lower your body's resistance to disease and raise the risk that you may become ill. If you do feel like you are coming down with something seek medical attention immediately and avoid contact with the general population. This is especially true if you are on a cruise ship or staying at a resort that has buffet dining. Besides, you want to be able to remember the great times that you had on vacation, so drinking in moderation would be a good way to keep your senses keen. Sometimes it is difficult because of the hot climate and a good tequila or cool beer invites to satisfy your thirst but it can have a strong effect to your body. You have to keep in mind that the temperature in Mexico is high depending on the season and where you stay for your vacation.

In case you have any food allergies you should be especially careful about what you eat. The Mexican food is delicious but some bodies have to get familiarized with the different food especially hot food. Make sure you inquire of any restaurant staff where you dine about what is in each dish and if there are any items you are allergic to that it may be cooked in.

Many people work hard all year long just to be able to take a week or two off to enjoy relaxing and having fun. No one wants to get sick on his or her vacation, but we have all probably had that experience. becoming ill in a foreign country can have consequences that may be more serious depending on the circumstances, so do what you can to lessen the risks to your health while on vacation in Mexico.

Want to Have This Popular Caribbean Island All to Yourself

Dear Reader,

If you are a passionate scuba diver, there is a place in the southern part of Mexico which is still not so very popular to the crowd as Cancun. And which is a number one secret according to International Living.

The place I'm talking about is the coast of Cozumel Island in the Caribbean waters. The island is only about 12 miles east of Playa del Carmen another hot place in Mexico. The island is perfect for scuba diving lovers, but it is also a perfect place for snorkelers, fishermen and people who want to vacation in the most tranquil beaches on the western side of the island. You'll find crystal-clear waters and powder sands.

In case you like to know more about this beautiful island please, read the international postcard at Dodge the Crowds--Have This Popular Caribbean Island All to Yourself or if you like to know more about the most exotic places in Mexico and the Caribbean Coast you can subscribe to the international living and get more information about investing in Mexico, retiring in Mexico and more.

What Are The Essential Carry Ons When Travel To Mexico

When you are decided taking a vacation to Mexico, you should make a list first on what necessary items you should take with you. The most important things that you just cannot travel without are the legal documents. The next would be the necessary medications, and of course, currency as well as items that will make life away from home much more pleasant, such as skin protection and proper clothing.

In the case of currency I have found out that you get in most cases a better exchange rate when you are in the country. Sometimes it is better to exchange only a small amount of money in your country just for the first few hours if you arrive at night and change the rest when you arrive at the airport or later on in a money exchange or in the bank. If you arrive during the day it is much better to change your money on the airport after arriving. But don't change too much money at once because it can attract some people. Change only the necessary amount for a few days.

First of all, the items you will have to take would be a United States passport if you are from the States. Remember as of January 23, 2007, passports are required for all United States citizens who are traveling outside of the country by air regardless of their destination. And after January 1, 2008 that requirement was extended to both land and sea travel. In case you don't have a passport then you will have to apply in person to one of 9,000 passport acceptance facilities located throughout the U.S.
It is also required to bring two photographs of you, proof of United State's citizenship, and a valid photo ID.

When traveling to Mexico it is also advisable for you to bring your driver's license with you, especially if you plan on driving or renting a car. In some cases a driver's license is required when chartering a boat or renting water sports equipment. A copy of your birth certificate should also be one of the important documents that travel with you. If any unfortunate circumstance comes up, these documents might be essential.

If you travel abroad it is practical to take mostly travelers checks and only some cash on vacation. Traveler checks are protected whereas cash isn't. You can easy replace traveler checks in most of the countries. Cash is much easier to exchange in many places and to use on a daily basis and in the event that both are stolen. But your traveler checks can be easily replaced. Another good way to access your funds while in Mexico is your ATM card. Another useful item to bring is a pre-paid phone card or a pay-as-you-go cell phone. But use it only in case of an emergency.

In case you have to take your daily medications take the correct amount for the time you are on vacation. It is better to take for more days than you are staying abroad in case of an emergency or canceled flights or whatever can occur when you are outside of the country. If you have prescribed medication, be sure that the prescription medication labels are legible and that they have your name on them. Sunscreen is an essential item to pack because the sunshine down south in Mexico is more intense than in most places in the United States and you may sunburn easier than you think.

Another helpful item that you can take on your vacation to Mexico would be a small first aid kit. If you are not familiarized with the Spanish Language a pocket sized Spanish-English dictionary or a small electronic dictionary is very useful and can help you out in some cases where the English language is not spoken. A good pair of walking shoes can be very helpful especially if you are enjoying walking in the afternoon or at night. Mostly comfortable and casual clothing should be packed although there usually is an occasion for dressing up for a posh dinner or a night on the town. And lastly, don't forget to bring your sunglasses and a hat will be very useful for any prolonged exposure out of doors (especially if you are without natural covering like me).

Always remember that it pays to be prepared. That's why you always should make a list on what to pack for your trip. This way you begin to pack for your vacation to Mexico you will remember to pack the essentials first and then you can include your collection of cabana wear, your rhinestone flip flops and those loud crying Hawaiian shirts.

The Exotic Pearl On The Mexican Pacific Coast

I don't think that I overact when I say that most of us have heard of
Puerta Vallarta and it may even bring images and memories to our minds of
tropical scenes and exotic destinations. Many of us remember that this was
where the Love Boat made a stop once a week when it was live on our TVs.

But there may be a question as to what attractions and activities has this
exotic destination on the Pacific coast to offer.
The precious town Puerto Vallarta is located on the West Coast of Mexico,
south of the Baja Peninsula. The weather is beautiful and sunny all year
round and the cost of living is still low, which may be why over why
thousands of Americans own vacation homes there.

Puerta Vallarta may be best known for the elder generation as the location
for the 1964 movie "Night of the Iguana" starring Richard Burton and Ava
Gardner. Actually, most of the scenes were filmed a few minutes drive down
the coast in Mismayola, but walking tours can point out buildings in town
where Burton stayed and had his affair (or one of his marriages with
Elizabeth Taylor. - Who can keep track?) The U.S. media gave a lot of
attention to the couple and to all the infighting among director John
Huston and the film's stars. If Puerta Vallarta was unknown before, this
publicity put Puerto Vallarta on the map. Today, most bus and walking tours
will make some mention of the film and point out applicable sights of
interest.

While there are so many reasons to visit Puerta Vallarta, it is the
beautiful beaches that lure most people to return again and again. Puerto
Vallarta sits on 25 miles of beaches within Banderas Bay, Mexico's largest
bay. Staying on the bay is what opens the possibility of so many different
types of water sports and activities. The large marina is home to an
abundant population of sports fishing boats. Most of the boats can be
chartered to take you to any of the hottest fishing sports, where you can
try the luck with your hand at fighting one of the large fish the area is
known for.

Another quite popular activity is to take a tour out to the island of
Yelapa where you can seem to step back in time and see small village life
as it still exists in Mexico although we live in the 21st century. In
addition to tours, there are many programs available for swimming with
dolphins, a popular resort town activity that has increased tremendously in
recent years. Whale watching has also become a big business in Puerta
Vallarta.

Most resorts in Puerta Vallarta and the surroundings are situated right on
the water and provide all sorts of activities, such as windsurfing,
snorkeling, and kayaking. Of course, you may just like to hunker down under
a palm tree with your favorite adult beverage and shop from all the roving
vendors that carry their articles up and down the beach.

But if lying on the beach all day long drinking and shopping gets a bit
ordinary, you may feel the need to hit the links. There are several
championship quality golf courses in the immediate Puerto Vallarta area.
You can rent Clubs and shoes, so don't worry if you didn't bring any of
your own equipment with you.

For a tropical few days getaway, a family vacation, or an adventure filled
trip, you can bet that you will find something fun to do in Puerto
Vallarta, Mexico. Enjoy your Puerto Vallarta vacation or stay at maximum
you won't regret your stay in this beautiful and exotic destination.

How about traveling light

In today's global economy and different money systems in every country there is more and more the trend of traveling light. I mean light in the sense of not having to think about money, about exchange rates, about prices for food and drinks, price for entertainment and so on.
Travel like a jet-set guy. Do not think about anything mentioned above. Just thing about travel, enjoying vacation and live without worrying about money at all.

There are more and more places with all-inclusive in Mexico. You pay only one fee for everything. You pay before you even leave for vacation for all your expenses abroad. Isn't that wonderful? You don't have to think about how much money you need for your drinks, or food or entertainment or sport rentals. Everything is taken care of for you before you even leave your home.

You can enjoy your vacation at your maximum without worries. You just enjoy a new friendship or you spend your time with like-minded people, or you travel with your family and everything your kids may want is already taken care of. You just travel like a king and the only thing you have to think of is how to enjoy your vacation. It might sound too good to be true but it is the best you can have when travel to Mexico. You just take some extra money for some souvenirs you might want to buy outside of the hotel for your friends back home.

This type of vacation is only for people who like to enjoy their vacations and think of living the life in a beautiful country where you have the best beaches, where you can enjoy still nature, where you can make tours to the jungle and even go back in time and visit the most beautiful places of Mayan culture and learn about how they lived hundreds of years ago. You have almost everything in one country. If you want to stay only a few days on the beach and enjoy the beautiful sun or if you want to stay a few weeks and travel through the country and enjoy the hospitality of the Mexican people, you can get all of this in one country without having to leave.

You like to climb mountains, you can do so. You like to travel in the tropics you have enough places to go. You like to take a sun-bath there are beaches on the pacific coast, the Caribbean cost or the golf coast. You like to travel in the desert there is no problem at all.
You like to visit the past and go back to ancient cultures, customs and living style. You like to visit the beautiful colonial style villages and towns there is no limit. You just search on the internet or go to your travel agency and get some places according your vacation ideas.
